Longarm Service Preparation Checklist

Please carefully check for tucks, puckers, loose threads on the top and inside of the quilt top, and incomplete seams that need finishing. We will do our best to review your top before we load it. However, if quilting has begun, we may have limited choices if something is identified that needs attention. If we see something, we will do our best to contact you to discuss.
We can take a quilt back up 120" wide. Your top will need to be a minimum of 8" smaller on width and length.
We cannot accept quilt tops that have any embellishments on it, i.e. beading, etc.  We will return your quilt top to you if there are embellishments. Of course, you can add the embellishments after the long arming is complete.
Quilt Top:

1.

Well Pressed.

2.

Loose threads trimmed.

3.

Seam allowances pressed consistently.

4.

Borders fit to the quilt center, not overly loose or overly tight.

5.

Quilt top is free of beads or other embellishments.

Quilt Backing:

1.

Backing needs to be 8" wider and longer than the quilt top in order to load on longer arm.

*Batting: I do not accept customer batting. I offer high quality batting directly from the manufacturer at reduced pricing for quality results. See Quilting Services page for details about batting we carry, sizes and prices.  If you would like assistance in choosing batting, please let us know.
*Miscellaneous preparation charges for any of the above items not completed at delivery that will adversely affect the quality of the quilting will be at the rate of $30 per hour. If I am unable to provide quality quilting due to piecing quality, we reserve the right to return the quilt top to the customer, i.e. wavy borders, etc.
